To help you take full advantage of the NimdX system, this article will run through the basics of finding the information you're looking for. In a subsequent article, we go into how you can interact with us and help keep NimdX at the top of the web directory charts!

Finding links by subject

For this example, let's say you want to find material on how to advertise your product or service on the internet. Below the Welcome message on the Home page you'll see a list of main categories. The first category is called Advertising. As for other NimdX categories, the information on Advertising has been divided into subcategories, in this case "How to advertise" and "Places to advertise".

If you've read some of NimdX history in About US, you'll know that one of the reasons NimdX was created was because I orignially wanted to catagorize all the emails and links I was receiving from various Internet marketers. 

So now, when it comes to the task of promoting NimdX in these early days, it's was really satisfying to actually be able to use the database to find information I needed. 

It was really simple. I just went to the "SEO" subcategory under the "Marketing/Advertising techniques" category and there were a number of SEO links to choose from. I also tested the keyword search tool.

Ok so now we're on the air so to speak, we've moved into SEO mode, promoting NimdX on blogs, ezines and social networks. 

Actually we also made a name change. Originally we spelled the name as Nimdex, but for several reasons, decided to change it to NimdX. It seems to add personality and identity.

It's important to work to brand yourself and your web site. Part of the SEO and promotion tactics of any business, including an online business, is to solidify an identity in the minds of your target market. Something different. NimdX will become synonymous with the most comprehensive web directory for online marketers. It's aimed at both experienced marketers and beginners wanting to start a home based business.

Well, it's finally happened - after more than 6 months of team work, we come to the point where Nimdx is ready to go live. 

We've already received some great comments about the site. 

We want Nimdx to be a user friendly web directory for YOU to use.

The online marketing industry is growing in leaps and bounds and so many new people are looking to make money online, to develop additional income streams that are not sensitive to the ups and downs of the stock market. Network marketing, or MLM as some call it, is fast becoming an acceptable and more  profitable way to market products to end users. Profitable both for manufacturers and affiliates combined.  And then are other strategies for building a successful home based business; membership sites, affiliate marketing, product resales and more.

What do I do? Where on earth do I start?
It seems that everywhere I turn, every kind of system is THE rage!

So, you just found a killer opportunity and now want to set up a web presence to advance your business. What do you do now?
 
Your first step is a business name, your identity on the web. Get a .com name if at all possible. It's pretty much true that "all of the good names are taken", but if you immerse yourself in thought, or brainstorm with your spouse or business partner, you'll either come up with a really clever name (like Nimdex.com), or you can just use a name that describes your business (mykillerbusinessopportunity.com).
 
A few things to keep in mind:

Choose a .com name ...
