What do I do? Where on earth do I start?
It seems that everywhere I turn, every kind of system is THE rage!
I’m searching for a way to supplement my income through the internet. That is: I want to make money online. I KNOW it’s possible.
I subscribed to a number of newsletters to learn how to get started. I read most of the emails I received and although there is a ton of hype (it DOES drive me crazy spending so much time weeding it out and trying not to miss any pearls of wisdom) there REALLY are different ways of making yourself a business online.
How did I start? Through all that reading I was eventually attracted to a particular method, it “spoke” to me. I felt that I understood how that system works, could actually envision how I would put a plan into action. (There are always hiccups along the way.)
Once I had a system that I had chosen, I needed to focus solely on that system. To learn it as much as possible, and to put it into action, even if it was not 100% to my satisfaction. Only now do I understand the importance of improving and updating my site/business and asking for feedback before and after it is being aired.
I also needed a mentor: someone to ask advice from, tell them about my ups and downs, but also to encourage me. I needed to tell myself: “Yes, you really CAN do it!!” (and believe it), and every day, move that much forward in learning and doing. And every day I become a little bit more of an expert, in what to do and what not to do.
There is very definitely a light at the end of the tunnel.
The feeling of achievement in breaking through my own doubts of working on the net, has given me emotional freedom and the KNOWLEDGE that I can learn anything new if I so desire.
